Kresge Arts in Detroit is partnering with Detroit Public Television to air a series of short films featuring the latest cohort of Kresge Artist Fellows. The film series premieres Monday, March 27 at 9 PM on DPTV and online at dptv.org/livetv.
Titled Spotlight Detroit: Short Films Featuring Kresge Artist Fellows, the films are a creative collaboration between the 2022 Kresge Artist Fellows and 11 Detroit filmmakers. Participating fellows worked with a filmmaker to create a unique short film showcasing their art or documenting their artistic practice. Each of the 16 films in the series runs between two to four minutes each.
Annually, Kresge Arts in Detroit produces films celebrating the latest cohort of Kresge Artist Fellows. Films from past years have gone on to be screened and honored at film festivals across the country.
