Leah V. is a writer, novelist, and body-positive activist from Detroit. While attending the Master’s program at Wilkes University she was inspired to start blogging in order to address the lack of “diverse” representation of real beauty in the media. She set out to make all women feel worthy regardless of culture or size, and began candidly sharing her struggles as a fat, Black Muslim growing up in the city of Detroit. She writes for Muslimgirl.com and several other girl-power websites.
