Karl Kingson

Karl Kingson expresses himself through storytelling and music. Born in Detroit, his mother was an executive assistant at Motown Records and his father was a professional DJ. Kingson’s grandfather, a professional photographer, allowed him access to his darkroom and cameras. By age 17, he had completed ten short films and three theatrical plays. Kingson has worked with and for Suzanne De Passe, Rodney Jerkins, Mary Mary, Marvin Winans Jr., Gerald McBride, Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts, Masonic Temple, Charles H. Wright Museum of Arfrican American History, Bank of America, Viacom, David E. Talbert, Kanye West, BET, VH1, and more.
