Lis Chere Thomas

Lis Chere Thomas is a Detroit-based performance artist working in aerial dance, acrobatic stilt walking, video, and interdisciplinary collaborations. A resident artist at 333 Midland, Thomas is particularly interested in place-based work, exploring themes of anthropogenesis and the urban environment. Since 2012, she has performed as an aerialist with Detroit Circus, Equilibrium Circus, Birds Eye View, and Weird Sisters, among others. Thomas has an MSc from University of British Columbia and a BA from Columbia University.
