Demario Dotson

Demario Dotson is a native of Atlanta and a graduate of Cranbrook Academy of Art, where he was the recipient of the 2020 Robert C. Larson Award. Dotson’s recent residencies and exhibitions include Queer.Archive.Work (Providence, RI) and Bread & Circus Gallery (Fort Wayne, IN). He is a part of the Mighty Real/Queer Detroit exhbition and will be featured in I Said What I Said at MOCADA Brooklyn. Dotson was commissioned to be a part of the Ann Arbor District Library’s BLM Mural Project and was highlighted by Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts as an emerging Black artist to watch. He also contributed animation for Tiff Massey’s Get Big 1.0 as a part of the 2021 DLECTRICITY festival. Dotson made his Detroit solo debut at What Pipeline in 2022.
